Badges as a sign of status on the Proto app. Mappers who’ve contributed a lot, been around for long and have done a lot for the community receive additional perks based on their badges. Badges are based on the total points you have currently, however a more detailed system is being developed and we will update it here once its live.
Badges also determine your transfer limits and $baingan allocation.

$baingan is a memecoin in the proto community meant to commemorate an iconic boy, with an iconic comment.
The $baingan memecoin is distributed to mappers on a 90 day cycle, based on their activity in the app. And mappers can use this in the app for:
Pre-token, you are allowed to transfer your points to other wallets to use your funds. Since points are not fully on-chain, we facilitate these transfers in USDC.
Transfer limits are determined based on your badge as follows:

Transfers from Points to USDC are denominated in SOL and have a base value of approximately 500 points = 0.00637 SOL. This value fluctuates based on community treasury value, weekly contributions and total transfers.
Note: These values are denominated in SOL but transferred in USDC. So, if you are transferring these to a wallet, please make sure you have the right address to Receive USDC-SPL. Do not share non-USDC, non-Solana addresses, this will result in the funds getting lost.
Transfers between users are currently unavailable via the app. However you can request these directly in the community and we can help you execute them manually.
